"Date Night" Cutting Board

The price for this class is per couple. This date night class is a great way for you and your partner to learn to make your own cutting board (approximately 8” x 16”). In this class, we will start with pre-cut wood strips of exotic woods. We will also discuss the techniques of cutting the wood to specific sizes needed for the cutting board. The process will introduce you to the thickness planer and orbital sander. The cutting board will be finished with food safe mineral oil which will bring out the beauty of the wood. While the glue dries, we will have pizza to enjoy so bring your non-alcoholic beverage and make this a date night to remember.

With his award-winning carving techniques and easy teaching skills, you will learn to carve a caricature using a small knife and palm gouges. These are small caricatures that will adorn any place you want a happy face looking back at you. These are easy to carve, and they make wonderful whimsical gifts for friends or family. Bruce's style and humor make his classes very popular.
